PLA, also known as polylactide fiber or PLA fiber, is produced through lactic acid fermentation from biomass cellulose (such as straw) and subsequent polymerization. As a next-generation green fiber material, PLA offers a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based synthetic fibers and plastics, actively contributing to carbon neutrality and reducing white pollution.

Mother yarn is a specialized multifilament yarn designed for subsequent "yarn splitting" processing. Unlike standard yarns, mother yarn consists of multiple filaments bundled together in a single strand. During downstream processing, these bundled filaments are split apart through mechanical splitting technology to produce finer monofilaments. This innovative approach dramatically improves production efficiency compared to traditional direct monofilament spinning. Our PLA Mother Yarn is supplied in 30D/10f—each bundle contains 10 filaments, and after splitting, each monofilament achieves a fineness of approximately 3D.
